Doncaster Athletic Club’s Nicole Lannie again showed her all-round ability to win two gold medals at the recent Yorkshire County Championships.
The 13-year-old Mexborough School pupil took first place in the U15 girls shot with a throw of 10.17m.
She then won her heat in the U15 girls 75m hurdles in 11.53 seconds, a time which meets the entry standard to the English Schools competition.
Lannie went on to win gold in the final in a time of 11.67 seconds, breaking the Doncaster Athletic Club record in the process.
Lannie is a former Yorkshire U13 girls’ 80m, shot, high jump and long jump champion.
