Jamie McDonnell says he is likely to sign on for a rematch with Tomoki Kameda in Las Vegas later this year.
McDonnell successfully defended his WBA regular bantamweight title against the Japanese fighter in Texas last weekend, earning a narrow points victory.
And he admits he is open to call from Kameda’s camp for a rematch – as long as the money is right.
“They’ve asked for it already and Las Vegas has been mentioned so wht not,” McDonnell told the Star.
“If the money is right, why not do it again.
“I’ve beaten him once and I’m certain that I’ll do an even better job on him next time around.”
After his marvellous performance in Texas, the Hatfield fighter’s profile received a significant boost both at home and in America.
And he expects other offers may come his way.
He said: “I’m looking to be fighting in September so there’s a good amount of time before then.
“It might be Kameda but other things might come up.
“I want the WBC belt so if something with their champion comes up, I’ll have a look at that.
“I’ve only got a fight or two left at bantamweight and then I want to be moving up.”
