DONCASTER have been promoted to England’s indoor hockey top flight after a sensational winter in the Maxifuel Super Sixes Championships.
The Town Fields club beat Brooklands MU 5-4 at Lilleshall on Saturday, and then followed it up with a 7-3 victory over Barford Tigers on Sunday to seal their promotion place.
Doncaster lost just one of their eight indoor games and finished runners up to Loughborough University in Division One.
Both clubs will play in the Premier Division next winter, in which sides battle it out to reach finals day at Wembley Arena.
Doncaster restart their outdoor campaign on Saturday, February 4, when they travel to Deeside Ramblers.
