Andy Gregory carded a gross 72 nett 65 round to win Doncaster Golf Club’s Annual Medal.

Josh Berry, Andre Lubeck, Jack Gregory, John Langford and David Wright all posted a nett score of 69.

Scott Freeman (gross 76 nett 69) won the Division One competition with Simon Jennings (gross 82 nett 69) taking the Division Two honours and Ges Garton (gross 93 nett 69) claiming the Division Three spoils.

Shane Longworth shot two under to win the Rotherham Majors tournament.

Sam Fry finished runner-up in Bawtry’s Quadragdon.

The club’s juniors head their zone by 12 points after winning their second Sheffield Union game at Hallamshire.

Emma Mysiuk (nett 73 ) won Wheatley’s sixth Ladies Medal competition of the season.

Emma and Leslie Wood (41 points) cleared the first hurdle of the club’s Ping competition.

Bev Valentine (gross 96 nett 71) won Thornhurst Park’s weekly medal from Keith Christian (gross 95 nett 74) and third-placed Ken Hall (gross 84, nett 76).

Owston Park report a fall in numbers during their National Golf Month initiative last month.

“It was a shame because we put a lot into promoting the event,” said a club spokesman,

“The wet weather was probably a big factor in the numbers being well down on last year.”

Clubs wishing their results to appear in the Free Press should submit the relevant information, including the name of the competition and specifying the nature of the event and the top three giving both gross and nett scores if applicable to by noon on a Monday.
