Gold rush for Doncaster Athletic Club trio

A trio of Doncaster Athletic Club athletes enjoyed a gold rush at Saturday’s Cerebral Palsy Sport National Championships in Nottingham.

T35 sprinter Leaha Dixon, 16, claimed a clean sweep of gold medals in the women’s 100m, 200m and 400m.

Matthew Whitehead (pictured left), 23, took golds in the F20 javelin and T20 400m, taking three seconds off his personal best in the process.

Thrower William Baxter (right), 20, won discus and javelin gold medals and silver in shot put. Baxter was also awarded the CP Sport Senior Athletics Series 2015 Male Field trophy.
