Arguably the most popular fighter in the country, Allen is enjoying a fine streak of form as he pushes towards honours and big fights.

Backed by a vociferous crowd in Newcastle and in front of the live TV cameras, the Conisbrough fighter picked up where he left off after his stunning knockout of Nick Webb in July by dismissing Nebo in just 65 seconds.

Hurting the Syria-born fighter with a shot to the body, Allen backed him into the corner and unleashed a barrage including a jaw rocking hook to the head.

And he followed up with a crunching left to the body that dropped Nebo to his knees and ended the fight before it had really begun.

"I'm getting a bit of experience and things are coming together, I can pick my shots and take my time." Allen told Sky Sports.

"I can punch really hard, I've knocked everyone out who I've beat. All the fights I've lost I haven't been able to hit them. When I do land, I will take them out. I don't do nerves, Tonight I had everything to lose.

"Ideally, I would like a few more ten-rounders, I need experience and training. I will fight anybody."

The victory proved a popular one and inches the 26-year-old towards a potential fight with former world heavyweight champion Lucas Browne.

Allen is keen to be back in action next month before potentially facing Australian big man Browne in December.
