Darts star Rachel Brooks enjoyed her best ever run at the ladies BDO Lakeside World Championships after making the final eight last week.
Brooks, from Wroot, was defeated in the quarter finals however, by Dutch player Sharon Prins after advancing past Casey Gallager in a 2-0 win live on BT sport at the Iconic Surrey Country Club.
Her quarter-final match was a closely fought contest, ending 2-1 to Prins, who was eliminated in the semi-finals by eventual champion Lisa Ashton the following day.
Having lost in the first round in her previous appearance at Lakeside in the world championships, Brooks has continued her rapid progress in the sport, having only started playing six years ago.
The 51-year-old, who also made the World Masters final in 2013, is currently ranked as the number seven ladies player by the British Darts Organisation.
