Danum Eagles have surprisingly started the season with back-to-back defeats after dropping into Division Three of the National League.
After going down 78-70 at home to Myerscough College in their opening game at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy, Eagles suffered a 78-57 defeat at Chester on Saturday.
“The game was closer then the 78-57 scoreline but we must get back to playing Eagles basketball,” said head coach Bob Martin.
“This group of players have been so very successful over the years that anything but titles seems like failure.
“We will get it right.
“We are finding it difficult to get the quality training that we need. We are looking into ways of increasing our practice time.”
Eagles impressed early on and led for most of the first half.
But tied at 34-34 at the halfway stage, the Doncaster club seemed to run out of gas as the game went on.
Mathew Martin led the Eagles with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Tom Hodson helped with 11 points.
Eagles are back in action on Saturday at home to Manchester Giants (2pm).
