Unbeaten Danum Eagles broke the league scoring record for a second time this season as they ran out 138-69 winners against Derby Trailblazers II.
Mathew Martin led all scorers with 33, while Paul Walsh finished with 23 points and seven assists.
Josh Metcalf poured in five three-pointers from six attempts in the first quarter, as well as laying on baskets for team-mates Oliver Hylands and Liam Knapp, as Eagles raced into a 50-12 lead inside the first ten minutes.
Eagles led 76-32 at the halfway stage and brought up the 100-point mark with two minutes remaining in the third quarter.
Robin Hewson impressed in the fourth quarter, his stifling defence limited Derby’s guards to pot-shots from distance and forced mistakes that the Eagles could once again capitalize on in transition.
Eagles’ seventh win in a row sets up a mouth-watering clash at Division Three leaders Team Newcastle University on Sunday.
The Knights are also undefeated and a win would go a long way to securing a second successive league title for the Eagles.
