Division Two strugglers Danum Eagles put together their best performance of the season to beat fifth-placed Ipswich 98-96 in a thriller at The Pods in Scunthorpe.
A high intensity contest came down to the last minute and with two seconds on the clock Paul Walsh was fouled.
He stepped up to the foul line and hit both shots to earn the Eagles a huge win.
The game was even throughout and both teams played at a very high level.
Walsh and Tom Hodson led the way as the Eagles went into half time on level terms.
Eagles, playing at their highest ever level, have struggled at times this season with the step up but in the second half they produced the sort of basketball that has seen the club promoted twice in two years.
The return of George Colwill to the line-up also proved to be a huge factor.
Colwill (24), Walsh (22) and Mathew Martin (18) led the Eagles in terms of scoring.
Eagles are tenth in the 12-team division with a 5-12 record.
They travel to Liverpool on Saturday.
n Danum Eagles under-18s were comfortable 81-46 winners against Leeds Tigers.
However, Eagles’ under-16s saw their title hopes ended with a disappointing 96-62 loss against local rivals Sheffield Sharks.
