JAMIE McDonnell faces his toughest opponent yet when he puts his European title on the line at the Dome on Saturday night.
The eyes of the boxing world will be on Doncaster with the marathon 13-fight show being televised in a two hour Sky Sports 1 spectacular starting at 8pm.
Boxing on the night will begin around 6.30pm with McDonnell’s fight against 21-year-old Belgian Stephane Jamoye being televised live.
Both men are being tipped as future world title challengers in the bantamweight division normally dominated by boxers from America and the Far East.
Top promoter Frank Maloney reckons the 24-year-old Hatfield man could be boxing the world’s best before the end of the year if he comes through Saturday night’s tough test.
Jamoye, however, is a former World Youth champion and is not to be underestimated.
But McDonnell, who has sold over 400 tickets for the show, will be cheered on by a partisan local crowd.
