Golf: Pidd wins Axholme Monthly Cup

Pidd took The Monthly Trophy with 38 points, after a countback.

Steve Green and Harry Eland were confirmed as second and third placed respectively, with a score of 34.

Nearest the pin competitions were won on the day by Green and Jonathon Torr, with Mark Perrin taking home the longest drive award.

The best team competition was won by Pidd, Peter Snell and Torr, with an average score of 32 points.

Gerry Enwood was awarded the prize of best guest as he registered a score of 34 points, with John Zerlinka coming second with 28.

The next society outing will take place on Sunday August 2 at Normandy Hall golf course from 10am.

The club will be meeting for their usual Stableford Competition to decide the destination of The Monthly Cup.
