Yorkshire Main move to the summit in Doncaster Rovers Saturday League

Rossington Main Reserves were knocked off the top of the Doncaster Rovers Saturday League Premier Division after suffering a shock 7-1 defeat at home to GCT Doncaster B.

Josh Gelder bagged a hat trick for the visitors, with Joel Tomlinson, Sam Kirk, Josh Challinor and an own goal completing their tally.

Zack King netted a consolation for Rossington who were replaced by Yorkshire Main at the summit.

Main, who have 12 points from their opening five games, never looked in trouble as they triumphed 5-0 over ISG Doncaster.

Aaron Harrison (2), Danny Bell, Nathan Ashbridge and Matthew Wilson found the net in a comfortable win for the Edlington side.

Denaby United ensured that Bawtry Town still remain without a point as they won 3-1 at Old Road.

Steve Ellor, Callum Black and an own goal earned United the points as they moved up to third. Jimmy Flint was on the scoresheet for Bawtry.

Epworth Town Colts Blues beat Bessacarr Development 3-1.

Maltby Juniors lead the way in DIvision One on goal difference after a 3-2 victory over GCT Doncaster A at Brodsworth Welfare.

Ryan Hicks opened the scoring for Maltby late in the first half before they were pegged back immediately after the restart.

Cory Goodwin restored Maltby’s lead but they were pegged back again before Rudi Crabtree rifled in the winner.

Three teams are level on points with Maltby.

Second-placed AFC Bentley were 3-1 winners against Doncaster Town thanks to goals from Vaz Lindley (2) and Josh Thaxton.

In third and fourth place with identical records are Adwick Park Foresters and Sprotbrough Country Club.

The Foresters beat St Josephs Worksop 3-1 with Zak Boisten, Daniel Bridges and Lee Foy the men on target, while Country Club triumphed 4-2 against Epworth Town Colts Development thanks to goals from Josh Marsden (2), Andy McMahon and Jack Roberts.

Dearne & District Development player manager Tommy Hyde scored twice in a 2-1 win at Doncaster Eagles, Askern Miners Development beat South Kirkby Colliery Reserves 5-0, while Tickhill Juniors got their first win of the season with a 5-3 victory at South Park Rangers.
