Sadlier was involved in a collision with Coventry’s Kyle McFadzean as he attempted to attack a corner and required several minutes worth of treatment before finishing the first half.

He did not emerge after the break and was replaced by Rakish Bingham.

“I think he’s broken his nose,” boss Darren Moore said.

“I think from the incident, it looked bad.

“He’ll survive.”

When asked if Sadlier would be available to face Sunderland on Friday, Moore said: “Hopefully, we’ll see.

“We’ll have a look at him over the next few days and see where he is.”

Bingham’s introduction for Sadlier was the only substitution made by Moore as his side chased the game against the Sky Blues.

And despite them coming up just short, he said he did not feel the need to change things with Rovers performing well in the second half.

“I felt with the way that the game was going what we had on the pitch was sufficient enough to get back in the game,” Moore said.

“If I felt we needed to make any changes, I would have made changes.

“But I didn’t think we needed to because I thought the personnel we had on the pitch was sufficient enough.”
