Oldham Athletic have qualified for the next round as Northern Group F winners after picking up maximum points so far.

But Rovers sit on two points after two games, alongside Bradford City and tonight’s opponents Wolverhampton Wanderers U21s.

Bradford - who face Oldham at Valley Parade tonight in a 7.30pm kick-off - currently lie ahead of Rovers, with a two goal better goal difference, while the young Wolves are a further two goals back.

So, how could Rovers make it through to the next stage? We took a look.

ROVERS WOULD ADVANCE IF

- They beat Wolves U21s and Bradford fail to beat Oldham

- They beat Wolves U21s by two more goals than any Bradford win over Oldham

- Bradford lose to Oldham, Rovers draw and beat Wolves on the bonus point penalty shootout

- They draw and beat Wolves on the bonus point penalty shootout, and Bradford draw with Oldham but lose the bonus point penalty shootout.

IF THEY DO ADVANCE, WHO WOULD THEY FACE?

Qualification for Rovers would see them face an away tie at one of the Northern Group winners in the second round, with the draw to follow the completion of the group stages.

So far, only Oldham have been confirmed as group winners but Rovers could not be drawn against another side from their group.

Sunderland, Fleetwood Town, Manchester United U21s, Shrewsbury Town, Crewe Alexandra, Port Vale, Manchester City U21s and Lincoln City have all qualified for the knockout stages.
