What Darren Moore wants Doncaster Rovers to carry forward from Tranmere Rovers demolition
He is expecting a very different game but Darren Moore wants Doncaster Rovers to carry several of the elements of their demolition of Tranmere Rovers into this weekend’s clash with Rochdale.
Moore’s side ran out emphatic 3-0 winners against struggling Tranmere in midweek.
The Rovers boss is expecting a much different challenge when they welcome Rochdale to the Keepmoat on Saturday.
But while the demands will not be the same, Moore wants the characteristics of Rovers’ most recent performance to carry through.
“The energy, the commitment, the focus, the way the boys were communicating with each other on the pitch,” he said.
“I think all those aspects will bode well because it told me everyone was doing their jobs.
“They’re the real ingredients to take from Tuesday’s game.
“But also you want to build that consistency in performances because it was a good high level performance and you want them to carry that into the next game.
“I keep saying the biggest component in any sportsman or woman, can have to their profession is consistency so at the time they’re at their best when they need to be.
“That is what we’re looking for as a team.
“These are the things where the young loan players and the youth of the squad that we’ve been trying to find and build on and work on all season.
“Those are the key points that I picked up on are the ones that have got to be applied again and consistently applied starting on Saturday.”
