What Darren Moore is looking to do for Doncaster Rovers on deadline day
Darren Moore has confirmed he is still looking to make additions to his Doncaster Rovers squad on the final day of the January transfer window.
Moore has this week added forwards Devante Cole and Fejiri Okenabirhie but is hoping to make at least one more signing ahead of the 11pm deadline on Friday.
“If it is possible to do so then yeah,” Moore said.
“The amount of players that are being thrown our way right now by agents and advisors. We understand it’s that time of the window.
“It’s about seeing who is available out there but maintaining focus on the team for the games coming up.”
It is understood Moore is keen to add to his midfield ranks, particularly someone who can feature in an attacking midfield role.
Rovers have been heavily linked with a loan move for Aston Villa youngster Jacob Ramsey but Moore would not confirm interest in the 18-year-old.
One thing the Rovers boss is keen to maintain is a focus on Saturday’s trip to Fleetwood Town.
“It’s trying to strike that balance really,” he said.
“But right up to the last minute, if it’s right for us to do the business, then we will do.
“I’m very much about putting my energies and efforts into the team because I don’t like to miss anything during the week.
“It’s an area you have to deal with and it’s an area I am dealing with.
“I’ll welcome the close of the window for those purposes.”
