We understand an agreement in principle had been reached with the Premier League side to loan Idah for the remainder of the campaign.

However, an injury crisis among attackers ensured the 18-year-old started Norwich's FA Cup clash with Preston North End at the weekend.

Moore admitted for the first time that Idah was one player that Rovers had looked at for the January window but he was certainly not the only one.

"His name has been mentioned at the football club, Adam," Moore said.

"But there are others out there and I won't detract away from that because there are.

"There are others that we've been talking to today even.

"We're very, very hopeful that as these games come by we're trying to add to this squad.

"Whether we get one in in time for the Shrewsbury game, we'll wait and see.

"But I say that because there's work going on every single day.

"At the moment, we're still working."

Moore said the club are in negotiations over several targets with working going on around the clock to make additions this month.

"We're working extremely hard and even up to the 11th hour we are trying to strengthen," Moore said/

"We are trying to get some more bodies in.

"Everyone here is working extremely hard to do so once again.

"The window is open and we're working night and day, around the clock and there's probably not a minute of the day that goes by in terms of us trying to strengthen.

"Also, at the same time, other parties have to play along as well.

"There's a lot of haggling, there's a lot of negotiations going on. We're no different than anyone else in this window."
