Moore is predicting a meeting between two sides determined to play good football and says Rovers will need to be switched on to handle the challenge of Brian Barry-Murphy’s side.

“The way they play is really pleasing on the eye,” Moore said.

“You can have that but you’ve got to back it up with results and he’s done that.

“We know it’s going to be a tough game. We know they ask questions with the style of play they play.

“It bodes well for a good footballing match on Saturday and we know we’re going to have to be at our best in going up against them.”

Moore admits he admires plenty about Rochdale - particularly the way they develop youngsters.

“I think Brian has done a great job there,” he said. “The mindset of the football club is excellent.

“They nurture and develop young players and have a clear ethos and DNA.

“Credit to him and his staff and the consistency they have brought to the club.

“They’re a club that are progressing in the right manner. Come here Saturday and it’ll be a tough game. It’ll be very much a different game from the other night.”

Rochdale ended a four game winless run with victory over Shrewsbury Town last weekend. Dale currently sit 18th in the League One standings.
