The striker signed a six month deal with Rovers on Monday after switching from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.

And boss Moore is confident the 24-year-old will be able to score goals in his team.

“I wanted to bring Devante to the club because I thought he fit the type of player and striker that I wanted up there,” he said.

“To have him here, I’m really pleased for us all at Doncaster Rovers Football Club.

“We’ll get him knitted into the fabric of the club and get him up and running.

“He has hunger, he has desire. I think the way we play, the style we play fits the type of player he is.

“We’ll integrate him into the style of play and system and hopefully when he’s up and running we’ll give him the chances that give him opportunities to score goals.

“All strikers like to feel the back of the net.

“We’re pleased to get him, pleased to be able to give him a platform where he can display his talents. Playing in a system that suits the talent he has and him playing in an environment where he feels safe and secure and he feels he can fulfil some of his dreams and aspirations.

“We feel we are that as a club and I’m really pleased to get that over the line.”

Former Manchester City trainee Cole could make his Rovers debut in Tuesday night’s clash with Southend United at the Keepmoat.

He last played just before Christmas when his loan from Wigan to Motherwell was halted with the Latics keen to secure a permanent exit for him in January.

“He’s eligible to play and we’ll see what state he’s in,” Moore said.

“We’ll see what condition he’s in and we’ll look at him.

“But the main thing he is available if we need him.”
