Rovers picked up an important win over Wycombe Wanderers last weekend, coming off back-to-back defeats.

And Amos says the manner of the 3-1 triumph shows there is still plenty of confidence among the squad which can be harnessed to power Rovers back towards the top six.

“To get the win in the style we did was massive for us,” he told the Free Press.

“That is probably why the gaffer says it was the best win of the season.

“We just need to keep going and keep striving for the play-off spot.

“The manager and the coaching staff, we all get the same message day in, day out - we can make this season what we want it to be.

“Hopefully in the next two games we can get the three points, keep climbing and force other teams to drop points as we do.

“It was a big win and it just shows the belief and confidence of everybody that we can go and do better things this season.

“The league this season, there are teams that are absolutely flying and not really dropping points.

“We just have to do what we can and hopefully the win will give us the boost to go into the weekend, get three points there and work our way up the table.”
