“He sustained a terrible gash to his shin,” he said.

“We don’t know exactly what it is because he’s gone to the hospital.

“It was a terrible gash after a coming together of two players, committed for the ball.

“At the moment, that is what it looks like. We’ll find out more on Wednesday.

“We hope it’s not a break. I don’t think it is.”
