Issues at both ends of the pitch

It is a combination of frailty at one end of the pitch and a lack of killer touch at the other which has Rovers two goals down in a game where they have had plenty of attacking play.

To fall behind to a header from a set piece just two minutes in was always leaving them with plenty to do against a very well organised and battling opposition.

But they have produced some good stuff going forward and have had plenty of chances to get back into this one. The final effort in the box has let them down on multiple occasions.

And the weakness in defence against the physicality of the opposition has proved an Achilles heel.

There is a long way to go in this game but Rovers simply must sharpen up at both ends of the pitch if they are to have any chance of clawing their way back into this one.
