TEAM MATES: Billy Paynter picks his stand-out colleagues from his time at Doncaster Rovers
That was particularly true during the 2012/13 campaign when he finished top scorer as Rovers won the League One title - with Paynter playing a key role in the dramatic injury time strike from James Coppinger that secured top spot.
In the latest edition of our Team Mates series, the striker selects three players that stood out to him during his time at the Keepmoat.

TOMMY SPURR
“He had such an engine going up and down on that left side and was a big, big player for us that season. He’d got that quality too to provide something for the strikers from that side. He was a great player.”
IAIN HUME
“He was massive. If me and Browny were struggling to unlock a game, he had something different.
“He had loads of energy to pounce on a mistake, he was busy and energetic and always harassing defenders. He’d never give a yard to a defender.
