One of the key elements of recruitment for Rovers boss Darren Moore is bringing ‘the right sort of player’ into the club, and much of that is based on character and how well the individual will fit into the group.

From his own early assessments over the last six weeks, striker Okenabirhie says the group is both down to earth and hard working, and believes that will be key to delivering future success.

“You can see that with the players that we have here, we’re all humble and on the same page, pushing in the same direction which is what you need to be successful,” he said.

“They’re good qualities to have.”

Okenabirhie believes boss Darren Moore has been successful in ensuring young loanees arriving at the club share the same attitude as those on permanent contracts.

And he thinks the qualities the youngsters such as Jacob Ramsey and Niall Ennis possess will help them towards a bright future also.

“They’re very good young players playing in League One for the first time,” he said.

“The way they’ve been making a mark, it bodes well for them going forward as well.

“They’ve got humble and hard working attitudes so that is going to take them a long way along with their ability and quality.”
