Here we bring a selection of the reaction from Rovers supporters on social media.

@woztomes: Gillingham awful first half. We should have had more goals. But very good performance from the lads. Sims was unplayable at times. Reece is quality wherever he plays. @butler__andy imperious at the back again. Experience we need.

@JohnLeslieCoyl1: We played some superb football at times and should have won more comfortably. The prospect of Josh Sims and Jon Taylor on opposite wings is mouthwatering.

@Gazz_Plods: Can we play like that every week, please?

@ces62: 26 shots only 2 converted made it more nervy than it needed to be.We have to be more clinical in front of goal.

@Markhughes82: Dominant performance we’re getting things together at the right time , Josh Sims and John Taylor in the next line up pls gaffer RTWD

@TGS_98: Fantastic but need to be more ruthless in front of goal.

@joelDRFC: Sign a proper goal scorer in jan and games like today we win by 3 or more, good win good performance just need to keep flying and not let up now like we normally tend to.

@BenTheRover97: Played very well, we really should have won that game 4 or 5-1

@superryandunphy: Football SOD would have been pleased with

@dealerboy_6: Brilliant performance. Ben Whiteman and Josh Sims are championship footballers. Our season depends on what happens with them in January.

@DrfcMike: Andy Butler and Big Tom were quality

@DRFC_ITEN: Make no mistake, that is a superb win. We played well and Gillingham didn't, but we rarely have much luck against them and Steve Evans is very good at setting up teams to disrupt and stifle ordinarily. The boys should be really pleased with the effort and skill today.
