The forward was injured in the win at Charlton Athletic in mid-September and returned to parent club West Bromwich Albion for treatment.

While the initial prognosis suggested the 19-year-old would miss around a month of action, he suffered a setback which has ensured he is yet to return to training with Rovers.

“He had a minor setback and had he not had that he would have been back with us now,” boss Darren Moore said.

“The setback meant he had to rest for a few days before starting the recovery programme all over again.

“He’s got to go through all that again to get back up to speed.

“We’ll be making contact with West Brom to see where he’s at.

“We believe he is back out on the grass and making great progress which is great to hear but I’m waiting to hear of a more detailed prognosis.

“I’ll be happy when he’s back in the building with us here and it’s just about getting a volume of training into him.

“From what I’m hearing, he’s making good progress.”

Tulloch managed just two appearances for Rovers before suffering the injury after joining on a season-long loan from West Brom.

Tyreece John-Jules is back in full training with Rovers having recovery from a thigh strain with his parent club Arsenal but is not yet ready to make a return to action.
