It has been suggested matches in the EFL could be played behind-closed-doors or postponed in a bid to contain the spread of the virus - which has now been classified as a global pandemic.

“There is potential that it could affect the professional game and while ever you don’t want to see games called off, I think safety has to come first for all concerned and connected with the game,” Moore said.

“We’ll look at it. We’ll be governed by the authorities and we’ll follow the rules and guidelines in terms of our safety.

“We’ll see where it goes from here but in the meantime we’ve tried to prepare as best as we possibly can.

“We’re doing our bit at the football club and at the training ground in terms of following guidelines.

“Hopefully the game will continue and supporters will be able to come in and it will be a normal Saturday afternoon three o’clock kick-off.”

Moore says there has been no additional testing for the virus among the Rovers squad.

The Rovers boss believes that the priority will be for matches to go ahead behind-closed-doors rather than being postponed, in order to ensure the season finishes on schedule.

He said: “It’s a difficult one for the EFL because fixtures need to be fulfilled. The season is drawing to a close so there’s not many opportunities or avenues to suspend games and play them again.

“For all of us, hopefully it will get better but we’ve got to side with caution that it could get worse before it gets worse.

“They’ve got a real difficult decision to make because you’re running out of time to reschedule games in.

“I imagine they’ll follow form and the games will be played on the specific date they have been set for.

“Hopefully it won’t be behind closed doors because we all love the game the way it is and we don’t want to see parts of it taken away.”
