Rovers League: Leaders Rossington Main hit ISG Doncaster for six

Rossington Main Reserves maintained their four-point lead at the top of the Doncaster Rovers Saturday League Premier Division thanks to a 6-2 home victory over bottom club ISG Doncaster.

Zack King scored twice for the leaders with further goals from Ben Clark, Ryan Evans, Brad Poteray and Freddie Gilkes. Jakub Gasior and Artur Dymarczyk replied for ISG.

Askern Miners kept up their pursuit of Rossington with a 4-2 win at Epworth Town Colts Blues.

Chris Hancock and Michael Attard both scored twice for Askern who have two games in hand on Rossington.

Third-placed Denaby United ground out a 1-0 victory over Bessacarr Development thanks to a header from Steve Ellor.

Dearne & District, a point behind Denaby in fourth, were 3-0 winners at home to Yorkshire Main.

Goals from Nick Guest, Mick Jones and Rowan Briscoe earned Dearne their fourth win since the season restarted.

Division One leaders Maltby Juniors won 3-1 at home to third-placed Sprotbrough Country Club to make it 17 wins from 17 games.

St Josephs Worksop, who have several games in hand on teams above them, are contenders for the second promotion place after a 3-0 victory over fourth-placed Askern Miners Development. Max Sykes, Mason Gee and Dominic Janicek were on target for the Worksop side.

AFC Bentley Development currently occupy second place and they beat Armthorpe Rovers 4-0 courtesy of goals from Danny Halliday, Zach Waller, Danny Boswell and Josh Roberts.

Adwick Park Foresters ran out 3-0 winners against AFC Doncaster Town with goals from Cory Higgins, Rhys Buckham and an own goal.

Doncaster Eagles moved off the bottom with a 1-0 win over Epworth Town Colts Development thanks to a goal from Joel Spence.

Matthew Bradley (2) and Callum Loundes fired GCT Doncaster A to a 3-2 win over Tickhill Juniors for whom Alex Hawkridge and Harvey Walker responded.
