Round-up: Belles crash at Lincoln, Rossington Main up and running, Bessacarr flying high

Doncaster Rovers Belles were brought back down to earth with a bump as they crashed to a 5-0 defeat at Lincoln City Women on Tuesday night.

Andy Butler’s side had travelled in good spirits after an excellent 4-1 win at home to Bedworth United at the weekend.

But they fell behind to first half goals from Leah Hardy and Emily Atkinson.

And Belles failed to stem the tide after the break as Amy Kay, Ashleigh Housley-Stott and Hardy added further goals for the Imps.

Belles travel to Holwell Sports on Sunday.

*Jordan Buckham netted a late winner in a 3-2 victory for Rossington Main over Retford United on Tuesday night.

Jack Watson and Tyla Bella also found the net for Ben Hunter’s side.

Main’s first win of the season followed a 0-0 draw against AFC Emley at the weekend.

*Central Midlands League North Division leaders Harworth Colliery were held to a goalless draw at home to Staveley MW Reserves, while AFC Bentley and Thorne Colliery lost on the road at Newark Town and Clay Cross Town respectively.

Bessacarr lead the way in Division One North with three wins from three following a 6-0 success at home to Newark Town Development.

*Rossington Main Reserves won 2-1 at Askern Miners in the top of the table clash in the Doncaster Rovers Saturday League.

Zack King and Jason Kearsley found the net for Rossington who have taken ten points from their opening four games.

Yorkshire Main leapfrogged Askern into second place thanks to a 3-2 victory at home to Dearne & District.

GCT Doncaster B defeated Armthorpe Welfare Development 5-2, while ISG Doncaster recorded their first win of the season by recording a 4-3 victory at Bawtry Town.
