Rossington Main Reserves regain top spot in Doncaster Rovers Saturday League

Rossington Main Reserves are back on top of the Doncaster Rovers Saturday League Premier Division after leaders GCT Doncaster B suffered a surprise defeat at Armthorpe Welfare Development.

Brad McFadden’s brace and a goal from Harrison Mercer secured Welfare the points.

That result allowed Rossington to regain top spot with a comprehensive 6-1 win at Dearne & District.

Nathan Lovell’s hat trick helped Denaby United to a 5-0 success over Yorkshire Main which saw them move up to second spot. Steve Ellor and Ryan Ambler also netted.

Matthew Messenger, Felix Gonzalez and Aiden Rushton scored for Adwick but their missed penalty proved decisive as the visitors prevailed with goals from Ryan Hicks, Jack Trueman, Shawn Edwards and Devon Stead.

Tommy Hyde bagged a hat trick for Dearne & District Development in their 5-0 win over Doncaster Town. Liam Hyde and Callum Spencer completed the scoring.

South Park Rangers and Epworth Town Colts Blues Development shared the spoils in a 4-4 draw, while second-placed AFC Bentley Development drew 3-3 at Askern Miners Development.
