Rossington Main Reserves extend lead in Doncaster Rovers Saturday League

Michael Attard and Sam Corner both scored twice and Matt Leighton and Alex Irwin completed a 6-0 win for Welfare in the Premier Division of the Doncaster Rovers Saturday League.

On the same night Yorkshire Main beat Bawtry Town 5-3 thanks to goals from Selwyn (2), Taylor, Brown and Wooton.

Rossington Main Reserves extended their lead at the top of the table to six points after the division’s last unbeaten record ended with Denaby United’s defeat at the hands of Dearne & District.

Rossington beat basement side Bessacarr Development 7-1, while Denaby suffered a 4-3 home defeat to Dearne & District.

Callum Black, Nathan Lovell and Steve Ellor were on target for Denaby but Hayden Barrett (2), Jamie Wooten and Zeph Thomas bagged the points for the visitors.

Armthorpe Welfare Development beat ISG Doncaster 4-0 courtesy of a Rory Millar hat trick and a Connor Clayton goal.

Division One leaders Maltby Juniors beat Dearne & District Development 4-2 at the Kingsmark Ground in Goldthorpe thanks to goals from Ryan Hicks, Jack Truman, Shaun Edwards and Devon Stead.

AFC Bentley Development remain second in the table after their 2-1 home success over GCT Doncaster B. Goals from Joel Warren and Jayden Fairclough bagged them the points.

Doncaster Town beat Doncaster Eagles 6-1, there was a 2-0 away success for Tickhill Juniors at Adwick Park Foresters, while Sprotbrough Country Club and Askern Miners Development shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw.
