Weak defending allowed Ian Maatsen to score the only goal of the game after 12 minutes for the Addicks.

Andy Butler’s side were nowhere near good enough in the final third as they failed to score for the fifth time in six games.

2.30pm Now six without a win

Rovers’ disappointing run of form continues and now it is six without a victory.

The added zip was brought to build-up play this afternoon but the issues inside the final 20 yards were all too prevalent as they lacked real threat throughout - and the frustration at that is only growing.

2.27pm Another defeat

SEVEN minutes

AJ Greaves replaces Matt Smith

Cameron John and Jason Lokilo replace Joe Wright and Fejiri Okenabirhie

Cameron John will be coming on for Joe Wright. Wright took a big knock to the head and jarred his neck and he’s struggling to continue.

Jason Lokilo will also be coming on.

Taylor Richards replaces Scott Robertson

Brad Halliday and Jayden Stockley are both booked

50min GOAL....but no

Charlton look to have doubled their advantage with a header from a corner but it is ruled out.

Jayden Stockley powers the header but it seems as though it deflected off a Charlton player on its way in.

1.33pm Back underway

Improvement but plenty of work to do

Rovers are trailing in this game but there has been plenty of improvement from recent performances.

They have moved the ball quickly, linked up well and attacked with energy to get themselves up the pitch and there has been a confidence to take things on that has not been present recently.

What has been lacking has been a real presence in the final 20 yards, somebody taking up the space to craft a really good opportunity.

It was a poor goal to concede with questionable defending, particularly from Reece James and it’s been the difference in a very tight game.

Charlton have a lively front line that looks threatening but there has not been too much to deal with so far.

1.18pm That’s the break

TWO minutes

Brad Halliday blasts over the bar from the edge of the box
