4.55 What a win that was

A superb performance from Rovers leads to a brilliant and well-deserved win at Charlton.

They weathered early pressure from the hosts and took full command after Madger Gomes rifled them in front midway through the first half. From there, they were in control for much of the rest of the game as they produced brilliant possession play, all while looking to add to their tally. Aby they were well deserving of being 3-0 up at one stage.

An inevitable wave of pressure followed Charlton pulling a goal back but Rovers rode it out well to ensure the final ten minutes were a stroll.

It was a day when the crowd returned. But there was only one crowd pleaser.

Alex Gilbey rattles the crossbar from 30 yards

Five minutes

4.44 Change for Charlton

George Lapslie replaces Albie Morgan

James Coppinger replaces Taylor Richards.

Cameron John replaces Reece James and it looks like another injury enforced change for Rovers.

4.30 More brilliance from Anderson

It looked like Conor Washington had broke clear of the Rovers defence only for Tom Anderson to hook the ball away from him.

The hosts have their tails up here after pulling a goal back and Rovers will need to ride out the storm.

Tom Anderson throws himself in front of a powerful shot from Conor Washington as the hosts push.

Alfie Doughty got behind the Rovers defence and powered a low ball in which Washington smashed first time, only for Anderson’s leg to turn it wide.

4.26 GOAL Charlton have one back

Conor Washington reduces the deficit for the hosts with a header.

Josef Bursik was drawn wide as Jake Forster-Caskey charged to the front post but then sent the ball across goal. It found its way out to Washington who nodded in.

And Tyreece John-Jules gets off the mark for the club!

The Arsenal loanee took possession just inside the box and was initially waiting for options to open up for him. And then he decided to open them up himself.

With a drop of the shoulder, he beat his man and smashed a shot which the keeper got an arm to but couldn’t keep out.
