Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances at the New Meadow.
1. Seny Dieng - 6
Dieng had very little to do in the game, although he did pull off a fine save to push away Connor McAleny's fierce drive from an acute angle in the second half. Couldn't do anything to prevent Dave Edwards' goal for Town. Photo: Lewis Storey
2. Brad Halliday - 6
Halliday pushed forward frequently in the first half but was more withdrawn after the break as Shrewsbury began to looked more threatening. Looked good in possession. Photo: Shibu Preman/AHPIX LTD
3. Cameron John - 5
Had two efforts saved by Max O'Leary late on which could have secured a point for Rovers, but had a difficult game against the lively Callum Lang - who set up the goal for Dave Edwards. Photo: Marie Caley
4. Joe Wright - 8
Wright was outstanding at the heart of the defence and from a personal viewpoint was unlucky to be on the losing side. Dealt well with the aerial threat posed by the home side in tricky conditions. Photo: Gareth Williams/AHPIX LTD
