Bessacarr Reds edged out Dearne and District Yellow 3-2 in a thrilling U12s clash packed with incident.
Thomas Patterson opened the scoring for Bessacarr in the first half after racing through and coolly slotting home as the visitors dominated the opening exchanges at the Dearne Advanced Learning Centre.
However, the hosts hauled themselves back into the game when Bessacarr captain Tomas Fernandez was unfortunate to stroke the ball into his own net.
Dearne then took a 2-1 lead into the break when Thomas Staniforth struck.
After the break, both sides had chances to add to their tally and it was Bessacarr who made the breakthrough when a corner from Adam Allam sailed directly into the Dearne goal to make it 2-2.
With time running out and both sides searching for a winner, Tyler Arnold proved to be the hero of the day when he poked home from close range in the dying moments to give Bessacarr a 3-2 win and move them up to fourth in the Division Two table.
Dearne & District Blue top the table after a 2-0 win at bottom side Adwick Park Rangers.
Finlay Evans and Dominic Trotter found the net for the early pacesetters.
Sprotbrough & Cusworth Crusaders are joint top after a 2-1 win at home to Bentley Hall Cross.
Lewis Hartley and Mackenzie Williams scored for Crusaders, with Danny Kitching halving the deficit.
