Becky Easton and Natasha Dowie have left Doncaster Rovers Belles.
Belles say Easton, 42, has decided to concentrate full-time on her studies, while former Liverpool striker Dowie has cancelled her contract for personal and professional reasons.
The duo were brought to the club over the winter by Glen Harris, who was sacked as manager last month.
Easton, who also played for Belles between 2000 and 2004, is currently studying for a Masters in Sports Directorship.
A Belles statement said England striker Dowie "requested a release from her contract for personal and professional reasons, to include recovering from an injury and to prepare for the next stage in her career".
Meanwhile, Belles have signed England U19 defender Maz Pacheco on loan from Liverpool until the end of the season.
New boss Emma Coates made left back Lauren Cresswell her first new signing last week.
Belles face Sunderland in the Continental Cup on Sunday. The match has been moved to Sheffield FC.
