Belles’ under-11s Reds came away with a 3-1 victory over fifth-placed Sheffield United Community Ladies, writes Chris Wright.
Doncaster’s Emily Hatherley struck for Belles after getting the slightest of touches on an Ellie Ball free-kick.
The other goals came from a Millie Guest strike in each half.
Meanwhile stable mates, the under-11s Whites, were always going to have a tough fight on their hand travelling to second-placed Worksop Town where they were undone 11-2.
Ellie Teager bagged a Doncaster brace.
The under-13s recorded another away victory with a 5-0 win over Aston Swallownest with goals from Abby Watkinson (2), Leoni Price, Leah Dowling and Caitlin Eden.
That result keeps the Belles on top of the table and three points clear of Carcroft Village who did not play at the weekend.
The under-14s enjoyed a 1-0 home win over top of the table Huddersfield Town as Louise McCreadie found the net.
Manager Jon Nassau was proud of the all-round performance from his squad who inflicted Huddersfield’s first defeat in two years.
The under-18s travelled to Dronfield Town to play their Reds team who were above the Belles on goal difference prior to kick-off.
However, that all changed when Belles finished with a 4-2 victory as their hard work paid off thanks to goals from Lori Hudson (2), Shelby Bryant and Holly Housley.
The result moves the Belles up from sixth to third place.
The Belles’ NERWFL side travelled to Sheffield Wednesday for the usually keenly-contested encounter.
And this match proved similar but this time the Belles came away with a 3-0 success. Strikes came from Sophie Brown and Ellen Smith (2).
The result propels the Belles to second in the division whilst leaving Wednesday third from bottom.
