Kasia Lipka says she and her table-topping team-mates will not be taking next opponents Yeovil lightly as they bid to go into the summer break maintaining their perfect league record.
The Belles collected their fourth win from their opening four FAWSL2 matches following a solid victory over Watford last weekend.
The early pacesetters can go into the league’s month-long break maintaining their stance at the summit of the second division if they can get a good result at Yeovil this Sunday.
Yeovil have started brightly in their second tier debut with two wins, a draw and a defeat to see them fourth in the table.
And midfielder Lipka insists the Belles will not be going into the game with a complacent attitude as they focus on bringing home a win to continue their reign at the top.
“Yeovil is going to be a tough game,” said the former Sheffield United academy ace.
“But hopefully we can get three points against them and go into the break winning all of our games, that would be great.”
Millie Bright and Rhiannon Roberts goals ensured the Belles comfortably dispatched Watford 2-0 on Sunday at the Keepmoat Stadium.
That meant the Belles were back to winning ways after suffering a defeat in the Continental Cup to Sunderland three days previous.
“We played really well in the first half [v Watford], but not as well in the second half. We’re happy to get three points,” Lipka added.
“It’s really good that we had a game so close to our last one to put things right.”
