The Askern clinched the Doncaster Sunday Alliance League Division One title with a game to spare after romping to a 9-1 win over second-bottom Leopard.

Bessacarr missed out on the chance to pip C&R Sports for third spot after losing their final game 3-2 at Adam & Steve, for whom Andy Walkden, David Colakovic and Dillion Henry netted.

The Division Two title race looks set to go down to the wire.

Leaders Rycroft Rovers retained their two-point lead after receiving a walkover against FC Wadworth.

Legion Park Rangers kept the pressure on with a 9-1 win at Schoolboy Norton.

Scott Henderson claimed five of the Legion goals with Reese Pegden and Mark Ridley both bagging a brace.

Balby Athletic effectively wrapped up the Division Three title after beating Newlands (William Amps) 6-1.

The Railway did all they could to deny them by beating White Hart (Askern) 2-0 in their final game.

Only third-placed Fairway Athletic can mathematically pip Athletic at the post.

But for that to happen they would need to win their remaining game by a huge margin and the Balby side - who enjoy a 22 goal difference advantage – to lose their last two by equally big margins.

Last season’s champions Sprotbrough (Tom McLaughan 2) kept their hopes of claiming the Premier Division runners-up spot alive when beating FC Glasshouse 2-1 in their penultimate game.

But with second-placed Bentley Top Club enjoying a one-point lead and a much better goal difference, their destiny isn’t in their own hands.

Athletico Tap Maker kept their hopes of a top-four finish alive when beating fourth-placed Rhino’s by the odd goal in five in their penultimate game.

Dan Reed (2) and Brett Lucas claimed the winning goals for Athletico.

Rhino’s, who are a point clear with a game in hand, also boast a slightly better goal difference.

Championship leaders Rossington United ended their campaign on a winning note when beating Tank (Stephen Phillips) 4-1.

Second-placed Bullcroft Sports & Pastimes can still dash their hopes if they pick up at least four points from their two remaining games and improve their goal difference by five or more in the process.

Armthorpe Albion climbed into third spot on the back of a 5-0 win over Willaspoons in their penultimate game.

They need to pick up at least a point in their last game to ward of the challenge of Carpenters Arms.
