AFC Bentley romped to a resounding 12-2 win over Welbeck Lions in their opening Abacus Lighting Central Midlands League North Division clash.
But the Doncaster side did not have things all their own way early on and twice fell behind.
However, once Bentley got into their stride there was only going to be one winner.
Brothers Gary and Shaun Mundy both notched hat tricks for the home side with Andy Walkden and Courtney Peynado both chipped in with a brace.
Jack Varley and Ransford Anthony also found the back of the net.
Thorne Colliery were the only other Doncaster area side in action.
Colliery, who will be hoping for a more successful campaign than last season, shared the spoils with visiting Phoenix at Moorends Welfare.
Austin Hallam, who had opened the scoring on 25 minutes, secured his side a point with an equaliser midway through the second half after the visitors had earlier scored twice in quick succession to lead 2-1.
