On a weekend that largely saw the junior football programme grind to a halt due to bad weather, the under 11s age group saw only one fixture - with Armthorpe Rovers Green coming out on top.
Gabriel Granger netted a hat trick for Armthorpe away at Edenthorpe in a 7-1 success, which saw Armthorpe move within eight points of league leaders Finningley Harriers, with a game in hand.
Dylan Walker scored twice with Elliot Lawson also scoring for Rovers, with Edenthorpe’s consolation strike coming from Harris Khan.
The under 12s Premier Division also only saw one fixture with Denaby beating fifth placed Frickley 3-1 to move up to sixth, one place behind Frickley who remain fifth.
Luke Lindley bagged twice for Denaby with Samuel Winstanley also on target. Frickley’s goal came from Dawson Stenton.
In the only game in Division Two, the last remaining undefeated team in the age group, Hyde Park Knights, succumbed to a 4-1 defeat to table-topping Sprotbrough Blue.
Bradley Herd, Jack Target and Jay Wagstaff all struck for Sprotbrough as well as the home side benefiting from an own goal, with Lewis Day on hand with Hyde Park’s strike.
As a result, the two teams are now seperated only by six points, due to Sprotbrough having played two more games than second placed Hyde Park Knights.
Bradley Boinston, Kian-Lee Carte, Jack Mcmahon and Tyler Rubens all scored in the only game in the under-13 league, as Carcroft Village overcame bottom of the table Hyde Park Knights 4-0.
Adwick Allstars claimed a first win of the season as they overcame Town Moor Tigers in the under-15 Premier Division, 4-2.
Thomas Beech grabbed a brace for the hosts, as well as goals from Thomas Everett and Lewis Wood which saw the bottom side draw level on points with second bottom Rossington Main.
Callum Baker and Kieran Edwards both hit the target for Town Moor Tigers, as they remain third bottom on 11 points.
Adwick have played a game fewer than Rossington and Adwick and will be looking to build momentum against Brodsworth next week.
