It was reported this week that Moore was high on the list of preferred options to fill the vacant manager’s role at Bolton, who will see Keith Hill leave at the end of his contract next week.

Bolton had been expected to unveil Ian Evatt as their new manager but wrangling over compensation with his current club, EFL newcomers Barrow, has held up the deal.

Reports stated that Moore was Bolton’s next choice should they fail to land Evatt.

But no official approach has been made by the Trotters to Rovers.

And it is understood that Moore has informed the Rovers hierarchy that he has no interest in leaving to join the Lancashire club.

It is still expected that Evatt will join Bolton in the coming days.
