Armthorpe Welfare bowed out of the FA Vase following a 4-0 defeat at NCEL Premier Division rivals Thackley.
Thackley were good value for their victory but Brian Johnston’s men did themselves few favours with their defending.
Welfare were resolute until the hour mark when a low cross somehow reached Matt Hall at the back post and he turned the ball home.
The second came ten minutes from time as Welfare gave the ball away cheaply and Chris Davey took full advantage.
Brendan Maltby headed home the third on 87 minutes and Matt Mather nodded in the fourth from a corner in stoppage time.
One of the positives to take from the game was the performance of goalkeeper Will Biggs.
Biggs had a splendid game, making several fine saves to keep Armthorpe in the tie until the final ten minutes.
Meanwhile, new Rossington Main manager Steven Brennan watched his new charges beaten 4-1 at promotion chasing Shaw Lane Aquaforce.
Maltby Main slipped to a third defeat on the spin, losing 2-0 at high-riding Retford United.
