Moore has previously stated he would be interested in signing the winger in the summer when his contract at Crystal Palace expires.

And he says he would not have brought the 21-year-old to the Keepmoat in the first instance had he not believed Lokilo would add something to his squad.

“In terms of bringing him here, we try not to bring any players here for the sake of bringing them in,” Moore said.

“Every player we try to bring in going forward has to work for the football club and Jason has been brought here because we believe in his talent and ability.

“We believe it’s something that we haven't got in the team.

“All four players that came in during January, we felt would give the squad a different dimension.

“Jason certainly gives us that.”

Moore confirmed Lokilo would be part of the Rovers squad this weekend for the clash with MK Dons, after he impressed off the bench on debut against Wycombe Wanderers last weekend.

And he admits he is excited at what the Belgian winger can bring to his side over the rest of the campaign.

“I think certainly he has the ability when games are tight to unlock the door in terms of his ability and speed,” Moore said.

“I won’t speculate too much on him because we’ll wait and see when it comes but that is the ability he has.”
