DANIEL Kearns has got a “real chance” of featuring in Rotherham United’s rearranged League Two clash at Oxford United tomorrow night, according to manager Steve Evans.
The winger has missed the Millers’ last two matches because of a hamstring problem he sustained at Bristol Rovers.
But following Rotherham’s hard-fought draw at Southend United, Evans told The Star the winger came through training in South Yorkshire on Saturday unscathed.
“Daniel has got a real chance of playing. He has made great progress,” said Evans.
“If he is not fit for Oxford then he would be for Saturday.”
Evans plans to make “one or two” personnel changes for their encounter at the Kassam Stadium. He has also revealed goalkeeper Scott Shearer will resume full training today after recovering from a long-term elbow injury.
Defender Johnny Mullins extended Rotherham’s unbeaten run to five matches as he equalised in the dying minutes.
