Players have spoken regularly of the strength of the group dynamic, which appears to have persisted despite much change at the club over recent seasons.

Blair - who has been with Rovers for almost four years - says those who have remained over the last few years have helped to maintain the team ethic but that has also been done through good recruitment of new faces.

“Everyone is happy to be working together,” Blair said.

“I can honestly say that of the lads that I’m with now and those I’ve been with since I’ve been here.

“It’s always been a fantastic group to work with.”

“It’s huge. You can bring in the best player in the world but if he’s only going to run around for 20 minutes, is that going to be good enough for your team? Probably not.

“It’s just as important to bring in good lads, as well as quality.”
