Having enjoyed a much better second half following Jordan Shipley's decisive goal for the Sky Blues, Rovers struggled to convert pressure into real chances.

And so the post-match talk from supporters inevitably turned to the desire to see attacking reinforcements in through the door this month.

@Matt_Walker96: Decent enough second half with the obvious problem of having no number 9 being shown again. Getting absolutely nowhere without one

@Drfc_Pete1993: Can't recall a single chance we had in that game

@Rupee92: There’s only 4 good managers in league 1 and we’ve just been beaten by 1 of them. Mark Robins, Gareth Ainsworth, Darren Moore and the best, Nigel Clough. No shame in losing today against a team that are nailed on 100% finishing in the top 6 this season.

@joycie01: Bad day at the office.... Let's go again, 3 wins, 1 conceded 1 defeat in last 4 is a good return.

@DRFC_ITEN: Coventry were excellent today, particularly off the ball. But we played a similar team in Oxford and won. We just were not on it at all today and I don't understand why. Slack passing, no movement, no finishing. And no options off the bench - that certainly needs remedying.

@Craigthefub: Second best all game, no complaints on the result. Nothing to come off the bench to make a difference either, signings up front can't come soon enough.

@Matt_Walker96: Season summed up perfectly today, no lack of effort but there is just absolutely nothing up front. No point having the likes of Copps and Taylor if there's no one to create stuff for

@superryandunphy: Can’t fault that showing today as a team. Gave everything. It’s lovely up until about 25 yards out, then our lack of quality shows.

@garysouter3: Can we have a new striker pleeeaaassseee

@luke_drfchill: We’re going up no matter what 2 games in hand. Conceded fewest in league fans forget that, they only want us to bag a few. Moore’s got a plan give him chance
