SPROTBROUGH tamed Leger Lions as they stormed into the quarter-finals of the Doncaster Sunday Alliance League’s First Group KO Cup with a 5-1 win.

Daniel Taylor bagged a brace for last season’s finalists, and there were goals for Matthew Mears, Callum Smith and Richard Smith.

Edlington Top Club WMC joined them in the last-eight following their 3-1 win at Conisbrough Conyers. Adam & Eve also cleared the fourth round hurdle with a 3-0 win at Rossington United.

Stainforth also progressed with a 3-1 win over visiting Willaspoons, for whom Sean Smart netted.

Title-chasing Athletico Parklands posted a 4-0 win over Armthorpe Coronation in their Premier Division clash. Mark Cooper grabbed a double with James Naylor and an own goal completing their tally.

Bentley Top Club (Alex Dumas, Michael Attard) and Rhino’s ( Danny White, Daniel Wojcichowski) battled out a 2-2 draw.

Corner Pin beat visiting Eden Grove 2-0 in their Championship clash. Toll Bar registered a 4-1 win over visiting Auckley (Matthew Cockett).

Tumbler coasted to a 7-2 Division One win at Askern Railway. Stag Inn also had their shooting boots on when beating Carcroft Village (own goal) 8-1.

Hawthorn received a home win over title rivals Sportsman Inter Stella, who failed to raise a side.

A brace by Chris Hayton and a Jon MacLeod goal earned Park Social a 3-1 win over Alverley Inn.

Carpenters chalked up a 4-1 Division Two win at Armthorpe Albion (Greg Delves).

Skellow Rangers dished out a 5-1 beating to visiting AFC Cusworth. Alan Fawley led the way with a hat-trick with Tom Ellis and Sam Corner also gettiing in on the act. James Marlow prevented a whitewash.Windmill sailed to a 5-1 win at Wadworth Sports on the back of goals by Kyle Palmer (2), Stephen Munn, Craig Hookway and Bodor Ferenc. Josh Rowley was the Wadworth marksman.

Rosehill Press received a walkover against visiting HPK.

Grove Carvery served up a 2-1 win over Division Three rivals Waggies. Title-chasing Balby Academy of Sport picked up a 3-0 win at third-placed Maltings.

Horse & Groom Town and Armthorpe Village battled out a 4-4 draw. Alex Stenburg, Reese Pegden (2) and Lee Price shared out the Town goals.

Ingram Arms (Brenden Jeffrey, Jon Steers) beat visiting Hatfield Chace 2-0. James Faulkiner grabbed four of the goals as Tank charged to a 6-0 win over White Hart Colts. Paul Burton and Adrian Howe also chipped in with goals.

Division Four leaders Catholic cruised to a 9-0 win at Hesley.

Third-placed Bessacarr put Campsall to the sword in a 10-2 win. James Sharp helped himself to five of the goals with James Batson (2), Ryan Bullock, Oliver White and Scott Exley also finding the net. Fourth-placed FC Cumberland (Craig Atkins, John Akings) beat Hatfield Woodhouse by the odd goal in three.

Five-goal Chris Hancock stole the show as Crown Hotel held on to top spot in Division Five when beating Inter Debs 6-2.

Brett Smedley completed Crown’s tally with Richard Crawforth and Aiden Armstrong sharing out the Debs’ consolation goals.

The Vault remain hard on their heels following their 10-1 rout of bottom club M25.

Sean Thornton notched a hat-trick with Sam Weston and Richard McGowan both hitting a double. Daniel Heaton, Rob Burton and Joe Bryan were also on target. Paul Miller replied for the losers.

Fourth-placed Walton Wanderers, who have games in hand over the top two, scored nine of the eleven goals in their win at The Askern.

Eric McMillan claimed three of the goals with Chris Daines (2), Chris Kellett, William Warton, Josh Jones and Scott Royal also weighing in.

FC Ivanhoe beat fellow strugglers Balby Rec (Ricky Caudwell) 4-1.
