Goals by Ricky Temporal and Joe Grant failed to save Premier Division Acorn from a 4-2 home defeat against Fourth Division Rossington United.

High-flying Division Three outfit Leger Lions (Danny Brayshaw, Ryan Wattam) also caused an upset when beating Championship hosts Armthorpe by the odd goal in three.

Division Three leaders Balby Academy of Sports (James Connor 2, Kieran Ferguson) suffered a shock 4-3 defeat at home to Willaspoons, lying second in Division Five. Michael Simmonite, Lee Dixon, Liam McCarthy, Billy Kirkham shared out the visitor’s goals.

Championship promotion challengers AFC Rovers posted a 4-2 away win at Premier Division Barnby Dun, for whom Paul Bradley bagged a brace. Championship leaders Canal Tavern recorded the biggest win of the round, routing Division Five visitors Walton Wanderers 15-0.

Kirk Frost and Darren Fell both notched a hat-trick with Adam Freeborn and Sean McCarthy both hitting a double. Scott Lambert, Robbie Spence, Darren Howe, Jed McCormack and Mark Chapple also got in on the act.

Championship strugglers Finningley Athletic lost by the odd goal in seven away to Division Two outfit Carpenters Arms.

In-form Championship side Conisbrough Conyers dished out an 8-1 beating to Division One visitors Park Social. Craig Sutton grabbed four of the goals with Daniel Phillips weighing in with a hat-trick. Connor Pratt completed the scoring. Chris Hayton scored the Social consolation.

Unbeaten Division Four leaders Catholic Club lost for the first time this season, 4-3 away to Division Three hosts Grove Carvery.

Division One leaders Hawthorn lost interest in the competition following their 4-3 defeat at home to second-placed Division Two outfit Edlington Top Club.

Premier Division Rhino’s (Shawn Atkinson, Dean Daffin) crashed to a 5-2 defeat away to last season’s finalists Sprotbrough, for whom Mark Richardson (2), Richard Smith and Tom McLoughlan netted.

Championship side Stainforth (Kevin Rickatson) needed penalties to see off Third Division Ingram Arms (Karl Dewsnap) after it had ended 1-1. Tumbler scored five without reply against visiting Alverley Inn in their all-Division One clash.

Division One outfit Wheatley Hotel enjoyed a comfortable 6-1 win over Division Three strugglers White Hart Colts. Andrew Vipond led the way with a hat-trick with Carl Miller, Lucas Belnavis and Callum Russell also chipping in with goals. Nathan Booth scored the Colts’ consolation.

Division Two leaders Windmill sailed into the next round with a 1-0 win over Division Four visitors Bessacarr.
